Cyrillic transcription of the middle text of the Rosetta Stone

This paper presents the results of research realized within the project “Deciphering the Middle Text of the Rosetta Stone”, supported by Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, 2003 – 2005.

According to those researches the language letters written on the middle of the Rosetta Stone is Ancient Macedonian language. Ancient Macedonian Language is written from right to left. As time passes by and lot of influences are happened on the area of Macedonia and a lot of population migration happened, the language have been simplified and some letters are removed. Today Macedonian language is written from left to right.

Here are show all the comparations of the Ancient Macedonian Language and today language.

Also on this table, are shown the archeological places in Macedonia from where the letters are discovered.
